First Saturday Devotion
Please join us at San Fernando Cathedral every First Saturday of the month for First Saturday Devotion requested by Our Lady of Fatima in reparation to the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to pray for the conversion of sinners, and peace in the world. We will start with Saturday Mass at 5:00 pm followed by the Holy Presence of the Blessed Sacrament, thereafter with the Holy Rosary prayer, and conclude with meditating on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary. The request for the First Saturday Devotion by Our Lady are the following:
- Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation 8 days before or after the first Saturday. Please visit San Fernando Cathedral's website for Reconciliation dates and times.
- Receive Holy Communion on the first Saturday of the month. San Fernando Cathedral Saturday's Mass begins at 5:00 pm.
- Pray the Holy Rosary.
- Meditate for 15 minutes on the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

RE: Required Closures
To Our San Fernando Community:
Recently, the presence of mold was detected in the San Fernando Cathedral Centre. As a Result, the building, including the gift shop, the event spaces, all offices, and the bathrooms in the building will be closed to undergo testing and possible remediation. We expect the testing to be completed in the immediate future and any remediation work will be dependent on the test results. Out of an abundance of caution, we will be closing the building for the foreseeable future. As we know more information, we will make announcements, accordingly.
Please know that this does NOT affect the Cathedral itself or the Administrative Office Building located at 231 W. Commerce Street.
